As January draws to a close it’s hard not to lament over the goals we did not accomplish and the failures of our ambitions. But it’s not over yet! One of the best things about setting goals is the mindset it gives us. Setting goals gives you the chance to live intentionally and strive for success each day. Last week was exciting because for one of the first times I reached every single one of my goals. Now, these were all small goals, achievable goals that I knew I should be able to accomplish through the week if I set my mind to. That win helped me become even more driven and set me in the mindset of success. After if you’ve done it once, you can do it again. If you want to become successful at achieving your goals, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Successful people know forward progress is what make things happen
If you have huge dreams to accomplish, don’t just dream! Take actionable steps towards making those dreams a reality. For example if you want to be a bestselling author make sure you’re writing every day and improving your skills. Hop over to BookBaby.com and learn more about self-publishing and join a book club in your local area to expose yourself to potential readers. If you want to be a musician don’t hide your songs in the basement, go to open mics and songwriter’s nights to bump shoulders with others in your area. If you’re crafty and looking to make a name selling jewelry, pottery or clothing, team up with local artisans and learn how they do it.
Successful people don’t give up when they don’t reach their goals.
Ever had a day when nothing went your way and at the end you felt like a miserable failure? First off, it happens to everyone, you’re not alone in the misery of your bad day. Think about it like this:

Successful people aren’t afraid to think outside of the box
We’ve all heard it, the definition of insanity. If you’re doing the same things over and over again, start doing the exact opposite. It’s sad to say but culture tends to focus on conformity from education regulations to business standards. Even companies tend to repeatedly hire the same kinds of people to align with their company culture and standards. But it’s not the conformed that make a difference in this world. Think about it someone who stands out in your mind., What makes them stand out? Can you think of anyone just like them? Think about the business leaders of our time. They didn’t get where they are today by following the rules and thinking inside the box.
What are you doing to make it happen?
