While we may not be fighting to keep the human race alive, superheroes still a part of our lifestyle, whether it’s simply someone that compliments you and makes your day, or helps promote your unique ideas. While you may not be able to fly, have superhuman strength or immortality you can be a superhero too! Today’s prompt for the 30 Day Blog Challenge is:
Which methods do you want to use to build your platform and increase your influence?
The method I use to build my platform and increase my influence online is social media, in particular Twitter, Tumblr and Google Plus. Does this make me a superhero? Well no but it depends on what tips, links, images and resources I share with my network. The definition of a superhero according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary is:
a fictional hero having extraordinary or superhuman powers; also : an exceptionally skillful or successful person
We can all be exceptionally skilled and successful by doing what we do best. You don’t have to be like the person sitting next to you, or the website across the way with the loud visual designs, or the bestselling author who has been busting his/her butt for years! All you have do to is be yourself, be genuine, stay humble and continue to share your ideas, things you have learned and keep publishing your work!
I will be a superhero for those in my niche market by:
- Providing valuable content which inspires, encourages and solves problems
- Linking to articles, sites, books and other resources which have helped me as I continue my journey
- Building an online community which is credible, becomes a resource in my niche market and allows others to connect
My mission is quite simple, to help those who aren’t sure how to pull vague concepts out of their heads and develop them into a profitable revenue stream. After all when you’re doing work you love you’ll be able to be your best self and live your best life. Step away from average and open the door to extraordinary!
