“Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all.” – Helen Keller.

Traveling is one of my passions. The idea of spending months in different countries and moving across the world by air, train, boat, or car is highly attractive. Ever since my 10-day trip to Panama at age 15, my traveling feet are always itching.

As much as I want to be in New Zealand today and Spain tomorrow the cost of constantly traveling does add up. Before I dive into putting my research on travel hacks into action, I’ve decided to explore where I live first. Day trips, weekend trips, and spending time with friends and family who don’t live too far away has turned out to be an inexpensive way of going on mini adventures.

Labor Day weekend I took a trip to Cummins Falls in Cookeville, TN to hike through the 8th largest waterfall in the state of Tennessee. One of my sisters and one of my best friends tackled the 3.5 mile hike with me, which led us winding through the forest downstream to follow the river to the deep pools of the waterfall.

Exploring the beauty of nature always inspires me. I come back home a bit tired but refreshed, motivated to live abundantly.

What daring adventure inspires you?
