I don’t think anyone intentionally sets out on the road to mediocrity.
- “I want to settle for less today”
- “I don’t want to reach my full potential”
Instead we says things like:
- “I want to fit in”
- “I want to be surrounded by a group of people who love me and believe in what I do”
One day we’re living our lives the next we wake up and realize we aren’t where we want to be.
Maybe the career doesn’t fit or the relationship.
Maybe your friends have different values and are dragging you down.
Maybe you’ve been too afraid to speak your ideas out loud or don’t believe you have the resources to get you where you want to be.
Maybe you’re overwhelmed with ideas and don’t know where to start.
Maybe you just need some guidance and you’re looking for a sign.
What’s the best way to move forward after all of these realizations?
It’s time to take a leap of faith off the road to mediocre.
You don’t have to do everything at once, you don’t have to be a wild success, you just have to start.
I’ve found in life that I don’t regret the things I’ve done, I regret the chances I didn’t take, the opportunities I let slide away. Those have been my biggest regrets. What are your regrets?
Keep in mind that it’s never too late to start.
You don’t have to do everything, just do what you do well. It won’t be a walk in the park, it won’t be a piece of cake. You have everything you need to change your life. You just need to take the first step.
What inspired you to take the first step?
