Who are you Subconsciously Attracting?

When discussing branding and strategic marketing, identifying your target market is a key part. However we each have a target market that we are subconsciously attracting simply based on the vibes we give off. Although I’m no expert on the laws of attraction and using positive energy to determine your day, attraction and mindset do have a part to play.

How do you develop attraction awareness?

We’ve all heard The Golden Rule at one time or another. My version of it? Treat people the way you’d like to be treated if you were in their shoes. Think about it, if you were an outsider watching yourself, the way you act, dress, carry yourself and treat others, would you want to be your own best friend? What about the way you handle your business or critique others? Does it leave people with a bad taste in their mouths or do they keep coming back for more?

What can you do to step it up?

If you find yourself constantly dwelling on negative thoughts it’s time for a wake up call. Thinking small and re-running negative scenarios is a dream killer. Just like the fairy tales, magic only works if you actually believe. If you don’t have faith in your ability to achieve your dreams who will? Don’t get discouraged and don’t listen to those naysayers. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life!

Surround yourself with Achievers

Have you noticed that successful people tend to hang out with successful people? We tend to be more like the group of people we hang out with. If you need to surround yourself with more positivity try these tips:

  1. Read a couple of books to get you motivated. My top pick this week: Start: Punch Fear in the Face, Escape Average and Do Work that Matters by Jon Acuff. (Seriously with a title like that how could you NOT read it.)
  2. Follow blogs or join email lists for inspiration delivered to your inbox. My personal favorite: Pursuit of Everything. Packed with powerful, thought-provoking messages, if you do nothing else visit this blog!
  3. If you don’t have time to read listen to an audio book or podcast when driving. I use the app Audible for audio books and turn on the Bluetooth in my car to sync up my iPhone. My top podcast this week is: Seth Godin’s Startup School.
  4. Workout – any fitness activity that gets your heart pumping helps to align the energy of your mind and body. My top pick: kickboxing!

What three steps will you put into action this week to help you stay positive?
