Your website should be beautiful and intriguing.

It is a site built to let your creativity shine, a reflection of your business, your works of art, a place where fans or clients come for updates, news, resources or to buy products. The question is what does a great website consist of? Thankfully the prompt for Day 13 of the 30 Day Blog Challenge is:

What three things would you most like your website to have and how will you go about getting them?

The key objective for my website is to allow others to learn more about the services I provide centered around social media and content marketing. What I love is taking ideas and turning them into feasible goals which allow an individual or company to earn income, share their story and build an online community. My blog is a community where I’m able to share my thoughts, speak my mind and offer inspiration for those just getting started, motivation for those already in business and resources I have found useful in my journey.

Top three things I would like my website to have?

    1. Engaging Content – While my site is up it has been a work in progress since I work full-time and freelance 15-20 hours a week. However of the next 30 days I plan to focus on adding engaging content and images to the site to more fully explain the message I would like promote. While the vibes of my personality come across in my blog they are not as clear as I’d like in the rest of the site.
    2. Logo – One of the design items every site has which is a key phrase of branding is a logo. My dilemma? Choosing a logo design which fits and having a designer put it together for me.
    3. Visuals – Infographics are a way I like to share engaging information and using templates I look forward to adding those to the site.

There are a vast pool of resources available for search engine optimization, generating sales, leads, improving visuals, sharing information, attracting readers, clients and more. Since there are so many resources available it is hard to navigate the options and choose what will work best for your website. Although there are many options don’t let that deter you from getting started, one small step at a time is all it takes.
